White 'calamari texture' clots still being found in 25% of bodies being embalmed

These artery-blocking clots, which funeral home owner John O'Looney first began to see in mid-2021, are continuing to appear. He believes they're the cause of death for many people.

John says that 'normal' blood clots are found primarily in the veins, where pressure is lower and they fall apart when you handle them - you can wash them down the plughole.

These white clots, on the other hand are "very gristly, very rubbery, very tough", mainly found in the arteries, and he doesn't see how someone would be able to get rid of them once they've formed.
