Martha MacCallum, FOX News, interviewing Dr Robert Redfield, former Director of the CDC (2018-21), who has previously stated that healthy people shouldn’t wear masks. (August 2021)

Martha: “So, do you think that the current CDC rule that all kids should wear masks – you’re saying that the current CDC is wrong on this issue?”

Dr Redfield: “I’m saying that I haven’t been able to review data that supports that recommendation.”

'Any element that threatens the oxygen carrying capacity of the human body will promote cancer growth.

Oxygen levels are sensitive to a myriad of influences. Toxicity, emotional stress, physical trauma, infections, reduction of atmospheric oxygen, nutritional status, lack of exercise and especially improper breathing will affect the oxygen levels in our bodies.'

Dr Sircus: Oxygen and Cancer

In a study, the CDC found face masks had a negligible impact on coronavirus numbers that didn’t exceed statistical margins of error.

The study found that between March and December 2020, face mask orders reduced infection rates by 1.5 percent over the rolling periods of two months each. The masks were 0.5 percent effective in the first 20 days of the mandates and less than 2 percent effective after 100 days.

Essentially, in more than 98% of cases, masks made absolutely no difference!

With a diameter 1000 times smaller than the thread diameter of facemasks, SARS-CoV-2 can easily pass through any facemask.

"According to the current knowledge, the virus SARS-CoV-2 has a diameter of 60 nm to 140 nm (nanometers = billionth of a meter), while medical and non-medical facemasks’ thread diameter ranges from 55 µm to 440 µm (micrometers = one millionth of a meter), which is more than 1000 times larger."

Download Dr Vernon Coleman's great little e-book on face masks:

From Anthony Fauci's own email correspondence:

March 31, 2020 – Fauci receives a summary from his agency of the studies regarding how effective masks are to preventing the virus and the conclusion is as follows: “Bottom line: generally there were not differences in ILI/URI/or flu rates when masks were used.”

April 16, 2020 – Fauci advises that even in the health care setting the mask policy should remain “voluntary.”

"Although scientific evidence supporting facemasks’ efficacy is lacking, adverse physiological, psychological and health effects are established. It has been hypothesized that facemasks have a compromised safety and efficacy profile and should be avoided from use."

P100 respirators stop COVID, but only for the wearer

from an article by Steve Kirsch, Jan 2022

Cloth and surgical masks do absolutely nothing and N95 masks aren’t much better than that. They are basically worse than no mask since they lower your oxygen levels and can make you more likely to get infected with a respiratory virus.

If you really want serious protection, get yourself a 3M 6000 or 7000 series half-face mask (respirator). The mask is sold without a filter. You’ll need a 3M brand P100 particulate filter, such as 3M 2091 to protect against COVID.

These masks make it easy to both inhale and exhale. They will truly protect you from the virus and they are much easier to breathe through than a cloth or surgical mask (they are designed to allow you to maintain suitable oxygen levels). [But] if you remove the mask to speak or eat, it’s all over; the protection goes out the window.

There is no societal reason for forcing me to wear a mask to protect others. A “safe” mask (one that allows sufficient oxygen to function properly and doesn’t increase the likelihood of a respiratory infection) ends up only protecting the wearer, never the public (since the exhaust must be unfiltered).

Review of masks, published by the American Institute for Economic Research, 11th February 2021

This seems to be a very comprehensive and balanced (and long!) review of research and evidence to date. Here are just a few excerpts:

The evidence just is and was not there to support mask use for asymptomatic people to stop viral spread during a pandemic.

In fact, it is not unreasonable at this time to conclude that surgical and cloth masks, used as they currently are, have absolutely no impact on controlling the transmission of Covid-19 virus, and current evidence implies that face masks can be actually harmful.

Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) recently published an article on Covid-19 and masks which appeared to suggest that masks have become no more than a psychological crutch, and stated that “We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection.

Researchers from the University of Oxford’s Center for Evidence-Based Medicine (CEBM) speculate that there is likely and elevated rate of harm (infection) when using cloth face masks

With a focus on cloth face masks, recent reports suggest that they should never be used as a protective barrier as they offer no transmission protection. Researchers found that penetration of the cloth masks by particles was in the range of 97% (filtering out only 3% of viral particles). There is extensive moisture retention and poor filtration with reuse which results in increased risk of infection, including by bacterial microorganisms.

Researchers from the CDC focused on disposable surgical or medical (typical blue coloured) face masks and identified 7 studies involving influenza and influenza-like illness (ILI) and reported that there was in fact no significant reduction in the transmission of influenza when face masks were used. Overall, the CDC reported that there is no significant effect of face masks in the transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza and we hold that these findings could be extrapolated to SARS-CoV-2. (May 2020)

We find no conclusive evidence to support the use of masks for Covid-19 (except N-95 type masks in a hospital setting and when appropriately fitted and utilized). In fact, masking appears to carry substantial risks to the user. And we reiterate that our conclusions are not based on the absence of evidence for ineffectiveness alone, but actual evidence of ineffectiveness.

Possible harms from wearing masks:

The information that is accumulating involves mask wearers within a Covid-19 environment and raises many concerns especially regarding psychological damage and especially to infants and children, with potential catastrophic impacts on the cognitive development of children. This is even more critical in relation to children with special needs or who are on the autism spectrum who need to be able to recognize facial expressions as part of their ongoing development.

Potential harms for children and adults:

It is very sensible that one would use a face mask when visiting an elderly person who is high-risk or even if the setting is controlled, such as a healthcare setting in a nursing home. It is reasonable to be cautious, even in the light of limited or nonexistent evidence of effectiveness and the increasing information suggesting that there’s now evidence of harms related to mask (over)use. The full context must be considered, but if you are adequately socially distanced, there is no reason to wear a mask.

We state emphatically that public health policy, or any policy for that matter, must be undergirded by sound data and evidence. As we have said, the reality is that widespread use of masks is not supported by science and in fact just the opposite. This mask hysteria is driving unnecessary fear in the population and must end.

REVIEW 2021

Some professional information and opinions from Kristen MeghanSenior Industrial Hygienist, OSHA-certified PPE expert, former Air Force bio-engineer, now an independent consultant and lead auditor for ISO.

“We are getting information from people who flip flop. If they had any other kind of employment, for instance, Dr. Fauci is the highest paid official in government from what I hear. If he was a contractor in a hospital he would be gone.”

“In my career field, prior to COVID, if I ever put a general populace or average lay person in respiratory protection without following OSHA law, I literally could be put in jail. I would definitely be fined and fired.”

“They [government ‘experts’] banded together and pushed out a bunch of opinion pieces - they’re not law, they’re not RCT studies. This is what has literally blown my mind. How in the world are we citing opinion pieces instead of standards, laws and science that has existed on the books since 1979?”

“The repetitive disruption in proper gaseous exchanges can cause so many issues.”

“The problem with the masks is not that it will lay you out in thirty minutes but it is the prolonged constant deprivation of oxygen on a regular basis. We have been in these masks for over 8 months. Over time, that constant deprivation can impact brain development in children, renal function…”

“You have to have medical clearance to wear an N95 mask in your place of work. Why do you think that exists?”

(View the OSHA medical questionnaire that every employee required to wear a mask or any type of respirator must complete, to be reviewed by a health care professional.)

“If you are forced to wear a mask at work and you get perioral dermatitis and get any treatment for it beyond first aid, that’s an OSHA recordable and you have rights.”

“Surgical masks and ear-loop masks are not respirators. All these masks are designed to do is keep the wound or body cavity free from bacteria from the healthcare worker. It’s not to protect the healthcare worker – and it’s very minimal by the way.”

“When I worked in isolation units for TB, they weren’t in N95s, they were in CAPRs and PAPRs, (controlled air purifying respirators and powered air purifying respirators), because that allowed for prolonged use. The nutrition folks could wear N95s because they were only there for a few minutes, but the people taking the vitals or doing surgery were wearing PAPRs, because I knew that certain viruses could totally blow through those N95s.”
