These jabs do NOT stop you catching the virus, getting sick or passing it on to others – confirmed!

Andrew Marr: I got coronavirus last week. I’d been double-jabbed earlier in the spring and felt, if not king of the world, at least almost entirely immune and yet I got it. Was I just unlucky?

Sir Peter Horby: Were you unlucky? I think you were. I mean, what we know with the vaccines is that they are actually remarkably effective at preventing hospitalisations and deaths – they are less effective at preventing infection. So, although you were sick, you weren’t hospitalised and there wasn’t any fatality and I think that’s probably because of the vaccination. And I think….we’ll start to see that in the end, the majority of infections are in people who’ve been vaccinated, and that does not mean that the vaccines don’t work – breakthroughs are expected. What we want to do is to prevent hospitalisations and deaths and the vaccines do that very effectively.

Sir Peter Horby is Professor of Emerging Infectious Diseases and Global Health at the University of Oxford and Chair of the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG).

CNN presenter: “What about all the fully-vaccinated people who get the breakthrough infection, can they pass it on – to their children, to older people, especially more vulnerable people with underlying health conditions?”

CDC Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky: “Yes, they can with the Delta variant and that was the reason we changed our guidance. Our vaccines are working exceptionally well…with regard to severe illness and death – they prevent it – but what they can’t do any more is prevent transmission. So if you’re going home to somebody who is not vaccinated…I would suggest you wear a mask in indoor settings.”

As at 2nd August, 402 fully vaccinated people and 79 people who’d received a first dose – that’s a total of 481 - had died of the Delta variant in England, versus 253 unvaccinated people. Obviously, in the more vulnerable categories, the vast majority are vaccinated, but still.

And how many of those in the 'over-run' hospitals are there because they're suffering blood clots, heart problems, etc. as a result of the jab? You know, the adverse events that the media isn't covering and the Government's ignoring.

Given that the current raft of jabs don’t seem to be doing a terribly good job at curbing the spread and effects of the virus – while causing untold damage – it’s baffling that governments around the world are pressing on with their intent to vaccinate the entire global population with them.

One might think there was more to it than public health…
