Stepping up the vax business...

Whoever’s running this Covid show is doing a pretty good job of getting as many pathogen-inducing injections as possible into as many people as possible. So, first things first; where are we currently with the ‘vaccination’ programme?

ree

As at 17th September in the UK, around 71% of the population had been injected. If we take ineligible children out of the equation, 90% of over-16s had received at least one dose, with around 82% fully jabbed.*

The UK started ‘vaccinating’ healthy 12-15-year-olds this week, against the advice of the Joint Committee for Vaccines and Immunisation (JCVI) – but they’re only giving the teens one shot because they’re concerned about risks of adverse reactions from a second one!

It’s worse in the USA. Pfizer began trials on 6-month to 11-year-olds back in March and Anthony Fauci has said the FDA could approve jabs for children between 5 and 11 this autumn.

Also in the USA, a panel advising the FDA has just recommended Pfizer boosters for those aged 65 and over in the USA but voted 16 to 3 against a third shot for anyone else.

And yet, in England, boosters are now being rolled out to over-50s – that’s three experimental jabs for the same virus in under 10 months.

Meanwhile, the pressure on the un-jabbed is increasing…

Passports and passes

As well as being labelled irresponsible, selfish and stupid, those who haven’t taken the noxious jab will now be excluded from nightclubs and large events in Scotland from 1st October.

In England, a similar passport scheme has been popped in the Health Secretary’s pocket for now, with the understanding that it could be whipped out at any point in the coming months – and they’ve yet to agree on whether a negative lateral flow test might also be acceptable proof that the unvaccinated aren’t walking killing machines.

The Welsh Government has decided that the NHS ‘COVID Pass’ app – which shows vaccination status and/or whether you’ve had a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours – will suffice, so you’ll have to show that for nightclubs and large events in Wales from 11th October.

Travel: medical apartheid

In England, there’s now one rule for jabbed travellers and another, harsher rule for the un-jabbed.

From 4th October, fully vaccinated travellers won’t need to take a pre-departure PCR test before returning to England and will be able to replace day two PCR tests with cheaper lateral flow tests. Meanwhile, un-jabbed travellers – even if they’re returning from a ‘green list’ country – will have to take a pre-departure PCR test, then self-isolate at home for 10 days (which they never had to do before!), with PCR tests on days two and eight.

So, if you’re jabbed, feel free to swan around spreading whatever lurgy you’ve got, but if you’re un-jabbed, we’re going to presume you’re infectious unless you can prove otherwise and inconvenience you financially, while keeping you under house arrest for a week and a half.

And on 20th September, the Biden administration announced that the travel ban for UK and EU nationals would be lifted in early November - but that only fully-vaccinated foreigners will be allowed to enter the USA. The new plans also shift the rules so that unvaccinated travellers from other nations who may so far have been able to visit the USA - such as Caribbean and North African citizens - will no longer be able to, unless they can prove they've been jabbed.

No jab, no job

From 11th November, anyone entering or working in a care home in England must be fully jabbed.

Bloomsbury publishers, Bank of America and Pimlico Plumbers all announced in early summer that vaccination would be required for employees. Utterly immoral and in violation of consent law.

Thankfully, the majority of private companies in the UK seem to be holding back, partly because of the threat of unvaccinated employees bringing lawsuits.

Over in the USA, a growing number of companies - including Deloitte, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Google - are requiring employees visitors to be fully-vaccinated in order to enter their offices.

Define ‘fully vaccinated’

Passports, passes, employment conditions….all these things beg the question: what constitutes ‘fully vaccinated’?

In Israel, they’ve introduced a ‘green pass’ to get into restaurants and bars and recently ruled that the pass will expire 6 months after the second shot, meaning boosters are essential if you want to keep participating in ‘normal’ life. (Luckily, they’ve already authorised boosters for everyone over 12.)

So, is the same going to apply in the UK? You can only keep your job and participate fully in society if you get a COVID shot every 6 months?

*shudder*

Would anyone have even entertained the prospect just two short years ago?

*Sources & workings:

Population of UK: (as at mid-2019) 66,800,000 with 19% under 16

So that’s 54,108,000 over-16s and 12,692,000 under 16

Number of fully vaccinated as at 17th Sept: 44,360,000 = 82% of over-16s

Number with at least one dose at 17th Sept: 48,500,000 = 89.6% of over-16s
