Midazolam is a drug that, in high enough doses, causes depression of the central nervous system, compromises the airway and causes severe respiratory depression. It is commonly used in combination with morphine during end-of-life care in the UK; in America, it often forms part of the cocktail of drugs used for execution by lethal injection.
In March 2020, Matt Hancock, the then-Health Secretary, ordered the equivalent of two years’ supply of Midazolam for the UK from a French supplier.
Then, during the spring of 2020, unknown numbers of care home residents and hospice patients were put on 'Do Not Resuscitate' orders - often without either the resident or their family being aware - and Midazolam was administered, while food and water was withdrawn. Far from end-of-life care, this was euthanasia, as death was hastened though a combination of starvation, dehydration and a grossly compromised ability to breathe.
And what went on the death certificates of these people who couldn't breathe? Covid-19.

And a new video from UK Column, published on February 26th 2024:
At 6pm on February 25th, the UK Column livestreamed an eye-opening and thought-provoking symposium on the systematic use of Midazolam and Morphene to end the lives of patients.
Led by outspoken journalist and filmmaker Jacqui Deevoy, along with the UK Column panel, this groundbreaking symposium will give voice to five families who have tragically lost their loved ones to involuntary euthanasia within the confines of UK care homes and hospitals.
During this event, we will delve into the controversial topics of the Liverpool Care Pathway, the unethical use of Do Not Resuscitate orders, the implementation of NICE guideline NG163, and the alarming negligence of MPs and the media in allowing such blatant democide to unfold.
